The Peruvian aquaculture industry is, little by little, turning into an important development pole and is attracting significant investment. Although it is in an incipient stage, it is steadily growing, passing from a volume of 39 thousand tons in 2007 to 43 thousand tons in 2008. This year it expects to reach 49 thousand tons and in 2010 to exceed 52 thousand tons.
