Adding and subtracting, 2006 was a good year for the Chilean salmon industry. Although the sector was impacted by high mortality rates, returns hit a historical high.

Thanks to strong world demand for salmon and trout, it is expected that export volumes in 2007 will continue growing, but nobody dares to make quantitative projections.
